We're Stash Apps
A small, passionate indie game studio from the Gold Coast, Queensland. We build mobile games people can't put down.
How It Started
Stash Apps was born in 2019 out of a simple frustration: most mobile games felt like they were designed to extract money rather than deliver joy. We wanted to build something different — games with real craft behind them, the kind you'd actually recommend to a friend.
Starting with just two developers and a shared obsession with game feel, we shipped our first title, Pixel Rush, from a spare bedroom on the Gold Coast. It hit 100k downloads in its first month. That was the moment we knew we were onto something.
Today we're a small but mighty team of developers, designers, and game obsessives. We're still based on the Gold Coast, still building games we'd want to play ourselves, and still chasing that elusive 'just one more go' feeling in everything we ship.
"We don't ship features. We ship fun."
What We Stand For
Fun First
Every decision — design, mechanics, monetisation — runs through one filter: does this make the game more fun? If not, it doesn't ship.
Craft Over Quantity
We'd rather ship one great game than five mediocre ones. Quality takes time, and we're okay with that.
Player Respect
No dark patterns. No predatory monetisation. We build games that respect the player's time and intelligence.
Indie Spirit
We stay small on purpose. Small teams move fast, take creative risks, and stay close to what makes games great.
The Team
Small team. Big ambitions.
Jordan Stash
Founder & Lead Developer
10 years in mobile development. Obsessed with game feel and tight controls. Probably playing Dungeon Stash right now.
Mia Chen
Lead Designer
Former AAA studio designer who traded big budgets for creative freedom. Makes everything look and feel incredible.
Sam Rivers
Game Developer
Full-stack game dev with a weakness for roguelikes and procedural generation. Built most of Dungeon Stash solo.
Built on the Gold Coast
There's something about the Gold Coast that breeds a certain kind of creative energy. Maybe it's the sunshine, maybe it's the surf, maybe it's just the fact that we're far enough from the big city to think differently. Whatever it is, we wouldn't build anywhere else.
